Florence was born December 17, 1917 in Toledo, Ohio. She married Casimir Walentowski June 24, 1944. Florence died August 31, 2003. Casimir died September 7, 1997.

Julie is the fourth child in the Walentowski family. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic Grade School in Erie and is a graduate of Bedford High School. Julie attended The University of Toledo for 3 years. She sang for 12 years with a choral group in Oregon, Ohio and occasionally sings at weddings and funerals. In June of 2008 she will complete 30 years of employment at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio. Julie lives in the home where she grew up. She completed the Master Gardner program at the Toledo Botanical Gardner through the Ohio State University extension service in 2007. Working outside is what she enjoys the most, and especially loves to grow flowers.
