Joseph Markos was born on March 8, 1919 in Toledo, Ohio. According to the obituary in the Toledo Blade he was a field examiner for 14 years for the Ohio Bureau of Unemployment Services, retiring in 1984. He was an army veteran of World War II. He married Hyacinth (Wongrowski). Joe died February 12, 1988 at the age of 68. Hyacinth (Hy) died July 20, 1994 at the age of 71.
